2019 St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Mission Team

Bible lessons, games, memory verses, songs, drama, crafts and a team of 7 people from St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Marble Falls, Texas, is how the Gospel of Jesus Christ was presented to over 1,000 children and adults this past week in Petén, Guatemala. Over the course of 6 days, we ministered the love of Jesus in a Vacation Bible School format in 3 remote villages, 2 local schools, and a children’s outreach in our neighborhood here in San Benito. This versatile team also ministered in adult and youth services in two different churches at night, preaching the Word of God and giving their personal testimonies.

The team visited the construction site of the Mission House.

For St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, it was their very first mission experience. Because of the training and preparation this team received from Commission Expeditions led by Grace Spell and Jennifer Gold, they were well-prepared and enabled to step out of their comfort zone to minister in a variety of ways. Joining with the vision of DeHart Ministry Focus, we saw so many hearts moved and touched with the love of Christ this week.

We are so thankful for this opportunity to connect with St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and Commission Expeditions. We are honored for them to partner with us to minister in the remote areas of the Petén jungle to bring about REAL change through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

If you haven’t done so already, please take a few minutes to watch this entertaining video that highlights our team ministry this past week. Because of faithful partners we are able to share the love and hope of Christ in these very remote places in Petén, Guatemala.
